myspace codes

Where's Marc? I feel the need for violence!

Fantastic time at the concert at Fraze - thanks for the post Bob! We just checked out Scotty's site - he is playing at Wiley's in the Oregon District TONIGHT!!!! We are putting that on the back burner as as idea for later today! I LOVED seeing the headline on ESPN site that Michigan lost - that makes for a very good start to the season!

Saturday, September 01, 2007

Oh my - Michigan just LOST their Opener to Appalachian State!
Are they "seriously" ranked No. 5 in the Nation?
Not after this game!
Michigan Sucks!

Go Buckeyes!

A Great Concert!

What a great concert! We all thought Scotty Bratcher's pre-concert show was going to make Joe a little nervouse about following up such a great performance. This guy was absolutely awesome - and he's only 19? Wow.
If you're interested in Scotty Bratcher's Website, here it is: http://www.scottybratcher.com/
We all realized within 1 song however, that Joe Bonamassa took the youngster to school. Bonamassa had us in his grip immediately. What a talented guitarists! I don't know about you guyz, but that was one of the best concerts I've seen at the Fraze! I'm serious about this - Doreen and I saw John Fogerty for $40.00 a ticket about a month ago & Joe blew us away for an amazing $5.00 a ticket.

Best Moments of the Concert

Scotty Bratcher's Opening Act - A Solid 30 Minute Performance
Kim's Story About the Neighborhood Naked Lady
Teri Being Restrained From Beating Up the Fat Fart for Telling John He's Rude
The Lady With Big Boobs - She Got Us in Trouble with the Fat Fart
Joe Bonamassa's Guitar Set on Electric Acoustic Guitar - OH MY!
Ian's Jaw - Everytime I Looked Back There - He Was in Awe of Joe
Derrick's full Beard - Geesh - Is he 16?

Final Note

Thanks for going everyone - As usual, good friends, good "refreshments", and good blues!
Bob

Hi all, Howard and I are very new to this so bear with us! It's great to be "in touch" with old friends. We are just back from Ironman Louisville. Howard's results can be found online at www.ironman.com/Louisville. His bib number was 1694. He finished three seconds under 13 hours. He did GREAT! We are so proud of him. The hardest part was the bike. He got onto the marathon and 3 miles in, his comment was "I hate the bike. I am never doing this again!" Sorry, Bob. The bike did great and he is anxious to tell you all about the race. I was bawling at the finish. It was just so overwhelming to see him finish such an amazing race. Okay...gotta go put things away from the trip.

Jami

Oh, P.S.

Daddio: Johnny got a Google account and now the Crab-Hoff site is not showing on his Dashboard. How do we get it back?? You might need to reinvite him to the group. Thanks!
Sweet! So I totally figured out a part of the whole "add video" mystery that Master Pacha has failed to enlighten the rest of us with...I know, I know, you are busy oh great Master! So below is just a YouTube music video by Mandy Moore of her new song, "Extraordinary," which I have been using lately as inspiration to get me through some of the stressful times of setting up for this new part of my life and career! If anyone else out there enjoys Mandy, her new album is titled "Wild Hope" and I recommend it!

I'm just chillin' tonight. John is out supposedly bday shopping for yours truly, and I'm thinkin' about calling him and telling him to stop at Fat Donkles for an M&M McFlurry!! It has just been too hot to even think about eating a real dinner! I have also started a new book (sadly, Harry ended all too quickly for me) that Mom recommended: Devil in the Junior League. Total girl, totally about rich b*'s duking it out...it's great.

I think Johnny's home--Toto's barking his head off (what's new?) So I'm gonna go...PLUS: NFL is back tonight with Browns v. Bungholes at 7:30 and The Fabulous Colts v. Dirty Texas Cowpatties at 8:00!!

~Peace!
Okay, so this is a test.

Boo Goes to School!

Read you blog Bethany - I see you're going to school today. Just think, you'll be going back to school every year! Hope you get to meet new colleagues and get to know some people in your new work place. What's the name of the school? When is your first day of teaching? Finally, what is your schedule again? Let us know how it went today. On another note, I never posted any Chicago pics from our trip. Here's the first 2 of 6 I'll post for fun.

Good morning! I'm almost out the door and on my way to a professional development course in building repore and relationships in the classroom...hope it is interesting!! I found out that tomorrow is a staff retreat at my school, so maybe I'll finally get some answers and get to know the lay of the land better, so to speak. My principal was like, "it's not mandatory...but you if you come you don't have to work on a Friday in October." Ummm...let me see...where do I sign up?!!

Mom & Dad H came up yesterday to hang out and go out to eat for my birthday. We all went into the classroom so they could see it and help me cut out my newly laminated posters (thanx Ma!). We had fun chatting, visiting the Buckeye Cafe (where I got a much needed Margaret), and finished with dinner at Applebees. Good times!!

Pacha, definitely let us know when you figure out the video thing...this could be FUN!!

Let's Get in Shape!

You can thank Lynda Weide for this! She turned me onto looking at USATF.com to look at a cool mapping tool you can use to map your running routes. Well, I liked the tool. But then I noted to do more stuff you had to join USATF for $49.00. Being cheap I became a googling fool dead set on finding something on-line that would do something similar but little to no fees attached. I think I found it!

Since cycling is my best event (I feel less pain), I stumbled on the following site: http://mapmyride.com . I couldn't believe it! It was the same mapping tool Lynda led me to, but you can sign up for an online fitness log. Better yet, you can have others view your activities in a public post (that would get us off our butts knowing others can see if you've done anything). Better yet, it has sister sites (same idea only different events). You can go to:

Best thing about it? It's FREE! So, I joined and I'm going to start putting in my stats beginning August 7th. If you join, make sure you mark your profile and training log as "public". I think that's in step three.

Let me know your thoughts!!! Hey, at least we can start - and if it gets to be a bummer, just stop whenever you feel like it.

If you wanna see what a profile looks like this is mine (but there's not much there yet).

PS - Thanks Lynda! Bob

Making Changes: Adding Video - (geek at work)

Thanks for the comment on the Music Video Dave. As soon as I complete a couple other experiments, I'll post how to add video to the Blog in two ways.
  1. Posting a favorite Music Video to the Body of the blog (see the "Carolina" link below)
  2. Possibly posting our own videos in the right hand side column. Right now that's a 'Google Feed' that I have little control of other than giving Google the subject. I'm a little concerned that "any" video could appear there (i.e. inappropriate content), so I'll have to watch what that does.

Once I work out the bugs, I'll post directions on the above.

YES! I WILL REMOVE THE VIDEO THAT PLAYS AUTOMATICALLY - THAT'S ANNOYING! SO BE PATIENT TO ANYONE THAT IT'S BUGGING - I'M STILL PLAYING WITH IT TO SEE IF I CAN GET IT TO PLAY WITHOUT STARTING UP AUTOMATICALLY.

See you tonight for the Bike Ride with Doreen and Lynda - The Fruit Stand is Calling!!!

Saturday, August 04, 2007

This next (just below) trial should create a "pop-up" video, which may be less annoying. I noticed the other trial of Ryan Adams plays automatically. I don't think I like that. On this one, you just click the link 'Carolina' by Matt Wertz, who by the way is another great artist in my opinion. ~rock on...Bob

I'mmmmmmmm
Baaaaaaaaaack!
After some EXTREME family and friend PRESSURE - I have returned. My new screen name is Bob "Pacha" which makes sense I guess - Lindzer will like it. The pressure was put on mainly by Dave and Bethany (see their posts below). Now we need to get others to get back on and update and/or show their creativity. I will now pass the pressure on to Marc! We want "stickman" to return! And to show my true dedication to the cause, I also made comments to both Dave and Bethany's posts. For now, it's Bob, Dave, and Beth who the current dedicated bloggers.
Who will be next?

Tuesday, July 31, 2007

Alright yo's...we all chatted about restarting the blog, and I'm stating for the record that I am here ready to begin...but so far only Weide has contributed lately! I haven't done much exciting today, except for get into my classroom and come to the sad realization that I have a S*#! ton of work to do in an exceedingly short amount of time :-( I'm going to a class tomorrow to learn about science materials, but that will be helpful. Looks like with Johnny's promo we'll be blessing good ol' Ohio with our presences for another 2 years-WOOT! You all couldn't get rid of us that fast-tee hee. Alright, I've bored you enough for one night, and I can't continue with this horrible attempt to be witty: Peace.

....you better blog!!

Thursday, July 19, 2007

Happy Thursday everyone! Well, it's near the end of July and around here that usually means our yearly charity bike ride. We've been involved with these events for approx. 14 years now - jeez - will it ever stop!?!? (This is a picture of our "team" at the end of last year's ride) For the last 5 years or so, it has been the Young's Ice Cream Charity Bike Tour which benefits 4 local charities....leaving from Young's Dairy in Yellow Springs - pedaling to the Columbus area on Saturday - then pedaling back again on Sunday..... this year approx. 162 miles in all. If anyone is interested in a last minute sign up - today may be the last day to register online - (http://www.youngsdairy.com/ and follow the bike links) or you can actually show up early Saturday (with your checkbook) and register then. Contact me if you would like more details. I Hope everyone is well!!! - Dave
